In the 1950s, Howard Hughes acquired the land that is now known as Summerlin. Forty years later the master planned community began to take shape. Nestled along the western rim of the Las Vegas valley, Summerlin encompasses 23,000 acres. Since 1982, GCW has provided program management, master planning, stakeholder coordination, and engineering design for hundreds of miles of backbone infrastructure for the award-winning community. GCW has performed studies, analyses, and design for mass grading, water lines, pumping stations, reservoirs, sewer pipelines, storm drains, channels, and detention basins, entitlement coordination, and cash flow analyses.
